Beautiful photo and quote. The quote reminded me of a chorus from an old hymn: "Faith, my faith, the promise takes, and looks to God alone. Laughs at impossibility and shouts, 'It shall be done.' Laughs at impossibility, and shouts, 'It shall be done.'"
Faith, hope, and love. Three attitudes worth cultivating. Go Emily!
Don, i'm curious about the tune of the song you mentioned. Due to my upbringing, I love a good hym and have sung lots of them, but that's one that doesn't sound familiar. It'd be interesting if I'd recognize it if i could hear it and see the words.
Alissa, I actually had to memorize a couple of poems of my choice for my American Poetry class in college. This poem was one of them, and it stuck. Not to mention that I personally think Emily has a kick butt first name! ;)
Also, I hope the previous post wasn't too melodramatic... but I'm sure you can relate on some level, especially with the Mr. Thomas bit. I wasn't super affected by the whole thing, like I'm sure some were, but the whole thing sure has made me think...
